Patient Visitation

Please see below for patient visitation information:

    • Always check in at the reception desk and show your identification when visiting a patient here.
    • You must wear an identification badge at all times while in the building, which the receptionist will provide when you check in.
    • You must observe visiting hours
    • You must arrive on time for visiting hours as all visitors will be escorted to the visitation area at the commencement of visitation time.
    • Visitors of our psychiatric hospital should arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled visiting time to sign in and complete visitation process.
    • Please follow the direction of the staff person accompanying patients during visitation. Failure to do so can result in your being required to leave as well as restricted from visiting in the future.
    • No excessive displays of affection will be allowed during any visitation time. Failure to adhere to the rules for visitation will result in immediate termination of the visitation.
    • All visitors must be at least 12 years of age. Children less than 12 will be considered on a case by case basis with prior notice and approval of the treatment team along with the CNO for staffing purposes.
    • There is a limit of 2 visitors at one time per patient who may visit with the patient on the visitation day. Ferrying visitors from lobby to the visitation area and back to accommodate more visits during the same period may not be possible.
    • The facility may impose clinically appropriate limitations on patient visitation when visitation would interfere with the care of the patient, whether the reason for limiting or restricting visitation is infection control, disruptive behavior of visitors, or patient need for rest or privacy.
    • Nothing can be given to the patient during visitation. All visitors’ belongings, such as purses, wallets, watches, hats, belts, cell phones and other items considered contraband by the hospital, should be left in the visitor car for safe keeping. Items such as identification and car keys must be checked into a single user secured locker in lobby before visiting. Contraband items are absolutely not allowed at any time for any reason.
    • Any item prearranged to be brought to the patient will first be given to a staff member, and not ever directly to the patient. Items will be reviewed and determined by staff is they can be provided to the patient.
