Program Features & Treatment Components
Our treatment goals for children and adolescents include promoting a sense of hope and stability for our patients. A multidisciplinary treatment team, patients, their families and referring health professionals work together to create a treatment plan customized for each individual’s needs. We introduce a range of techniques designed to help patients more effectively cope with life stressors to help increase personal resiliency and, ultimately, a stronger family system.
Board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrists treat patients using evidence-based therapies that can include:
- Group and family therapy
- Psychoeducational groups
- Recreational therapy
- Patient and family education
- Medication management
The length of stay can vary from a few days up to a week, and a level behavior system allows the adolescents in our care to earn privileges. Family visitation is strongly encouraged and patients can make phone calls daily. Patients may also send and receive mail, and they have access to a patient advocate who they may speak with at any time.
