Angel PiperAngel Piper
Chief Executive Officer

Angel has worked in the behavioral healthcare field for over 20 years. For most of those years, she has held leadership positions that included program development, clinical leadership/oversight, business development, and assessment and referral. Piper has served as a CEO for the past four years at various behavioral health hospitals. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Business from Virginia Commonwealth University. She began working in the behavioral health field and later pursued her Master of Social Work and Licensed Clinical Social Worker certification. Piper has an array of experience in working with adolescents, adults, active duty service members and veterans. She is passionate and dedicated to behavioral health and strives to improve patient care systems and experience.

Jennifer AllenJennifer Allen
Director Of Business Development

Jennifer Allen is originally from Long Island, New York but has lived with her husband and two children in South Florida since 2014. Allan received a scholarship to play Division I basketball for the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She graduated from UNCW in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology. Jennifer has more than 12 years of sales and business development experience in a variety of settings including the medical and pharmaceutical industries.

Gina DalessandroGina Dalessandro
Director of Risk and Performance Improvement

Gina Dalessandro has more than 26 years of demonstrated nursing and leadership experience. She has worked in a variety of settings including inpatient, home health, federally-qualified health centers and higher education. Dalessandro is a certified Registered Nurse and Corporate Compliance Officer and earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Leadership in Healthcare from Jacksonville University.

Grace IrvingGrace Irving
Director of Admissions

Grace Irving has over 19 years of clinical and counseling experience in the acute and residential mental health treatment settings in various roles including therapy, social work and mobile crisis. Irving earned her master’s degree in Clinical/Community Psychology from Norfolk State University and is a certified pre-screener in the state of Virginia.

Amanda WelshAmanda Welsh, LCSW
Director Of Clinical Services

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Amanda Welsch has over nine years of experience, having worked in acute inpatient psychiatry and emergency department settings. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Worcester State University and a master’s degree in Social Work from Rhode Island College. Early in her career, she discovered a passion for acute mental health. Welsch began practicing as a social worker on inpatient units and worked up to leadership positions having oversight of clinicians and operations while still providing direct patient care. She is skilled in risk assessment, crisis intervention, and bringing together the whole treatment team to produce positive patient outcomes.

Anisha Gulati, MD
Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Gulati graduated with Honors in Psychology from The University of Florida, received her medical degree from The University of South Alabama School of Medicine, completed a clinical postdoctoral research fellowship at Boston University School of Medicine, and completed her Psychiatry residency training at The University of North Carolina. She is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry.

Her areas of specialty include mood disorders, psychotic disorders, crisis stabilization, geriatric mental health, addiction and trauma. Dr. Gulati has a plethora of inpatient and outpatient experience working with children and adults and in 2018 was awarded the Charleston Choice Award for Best Psychiatrist in Charleston, South Carolina. Dr. Gulati sincerely enjoys getting to know each of her patients as an individual and is a proponent of personalized integrative medicine. Dr. Gulati is also dedicated to increasing access to mental healthcare through innovation and education.

Nabil Karroum, MD
Medical Director of Adolescents

Dr. Karroum did his General Psychiatry at Bergen Pines Hospital in New Jersey. He continued his training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Florida. He worked as the Medical Director at West County Mental Health Clinic, which is now part of Jerome Golden Mental Health Clinic. He then went into private practice, during which he was a consultant for various agencies such as Drug Abuse Foundation, Drug Farm and the Salvation Army. He worked for the Watershed Drug Treatment Facility, Foundcare, Multilingual Psychotherapy Center and Gulfstream Goodwill prior to joining Coral Shores Behavioral Health. He has extended experience in treating a variety of emotional and substance abuse disorders in adults, children and adolescents. He is board certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. He is also fluent in Spanish and Arabic.
